One of the things I realise over and over again when I work with new clients is how similar all of our stories are. I’m pretty unshockable and unshakable and my mission is not to judge but to be here to hold space for each client to work through their own issues. Each time I do that I find that similar themes come up.
There are themes of sadness, of grieving, whether that be for other people or the person my client doesn’t dare to be.
Themes of hiding. Hiding their light because they don’t want to shine too bright. Hiding their sadness because they don’t want to show their vulnerability.
Themes of wanting to be loved, for the person they are and not the person that others want them to be. Themes of wanting to be accepted and held, both physically and emotionally.
Themes of fear; of judgment, of failure, of success, of changing their identity, of being themselves.
Very rarely are the real issues a lack of understanding about what to eat and more about how to stop using food to cover up all the other really important stuff.
And all I can do is hold space, coach and love.
I see you all, all you Beautiful Swans, for the amazing women that you are. And my hope for you is that one day, each and every one of you will see it in yourself.
